Waterjet Cutting is a proven process in precision part production, enabling complex flat parts to be made out of most any material including metal, plastic, glass, ceramics and composites. Waterjets use water and abrasives, and heat is not used in the process, thus eliminating HAZ (heat affected zones) and structural changes in materials. The smooth “beadblast” type finish that this process leaves behind with a minimal burr can often eliminate the need for secondary machining.
